Lighthouses and Islands Tour

Cruise Information

The Jet Express Lighthouses and Islands Tour will cruise by the various islands and lighthouses shown in the sea chart above; although this exact route is subject to change depending upon the weather.  Upon boarding, each participant will be given a Lighthouses and Islands Tour Book in which the letters shown in the chart above will refer to a section in the book that will describe the lighthouse and/or island.  This book can be accessed by clicking View Book.

 

From 9:00 am to 12:00 pm the Jet Express will cruise by the outermost islands as illustrated with the redlines.  Coffee and sweet rolls will be served during this time.  There will be a break from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm in which the Jet Express will dock in Put-in-Bay to allow time for lunch, shopping, etc.   From 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm the Jet Express will complete the inner islands tour as illustrated with the green lines in the sea chart shown above.  Your ticket for the return to Port Clinton can be used for any of the earlier departures to Port Clinton should you wish to return earlier than 5:00 pm.

Twin Oast Brewery

One of the many activities sponsored by the PCHS Alumni Association is a get together at the Twin Oast Brewery on Catawba Island for that same Sunday afternoon.  If you wish to attend the get together at the Twin Oast Brewery then you can grab a takeout lunch during the stopover in Put-in-Bay.  Then take the 12:30 pm Jet Express back to Port Clinton.

Reservations Are Required

The Lighthouses and Islands Tour is operated entirely by the Jet Express.  Our involvement related to the Alumni Weekend has been to persuade the Jet Express to conduct their tour at the same time as the Alumni Weekend.  As a result, you should book your reservation directly with the Jet Express by calling 800-245-1538 or visiting their website.  The price is $68 per person.  Please note that the Lighthouses and Islands Tour is an annual activity for the Jet Express that has always sold out in advance.  As a result, we strongly encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible.
