Lighthouses and Islands Tour
Cruise Information
From 8:45 am to 12:45 pm the Jet Express will cruise by the lighthouses and islands marked in the chart shown above; although this exact route is subject to change depending upon the weather. This route has been modified to include some of the lighthouses and islands that we missed seeing during the 2021 Alumni Weekend. During boarding, each participant will be given an 11” x 17” copy of chart shown above in which the red colored letters in the chart refer to landmarks that are described in a book that can be accessed by clicking:
Coffee and sweet rolls, included in the cost of your ticket, will be served during the cruise. The tour will conclude at 12:45 pm at Put-in-Bay. This will give everyone an opportunity to have lunch in Put-in-Bay. Your original tour ticket will include your return passage to Port Clinton on any of the regularly scheduled Jet Express boats.
Twin Oast Brewery
One of the activities that the PCHS Alumni Association added in 2021 was a get together at the Twin Oast brewery on Catawba Island on that same Sunday afternoon. If the PCHS Alumni Association decides to repeat that activity then you will be able to take the 2:00 pm Jet Express back to Port Clinton in order to head out to the Twin Oast Brewery.
Reservations Are Required
The Lighthouses and Islands Tour is operated entirely by the Jet Express. Our involvement related to the Alumni Weekend has been to persuade the Jet Express to conduct their tour at the same time as the Alumni Weekend. As a result, you should book your reservation directly with the Jet Express by calling 800-245-1538 or visiting their website. The price per person is $90.00 plus $5.11 excise fuel charge for a total of $95.11. Please note that the Lighthouses and Islands Tour is an annual activity for the Jet Express that has always sold out in advance. As a result, we strongly encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible.
